An
Entrepreneurship Development Program by State Bank of India was held in the University School of
Management Studies, GGSIPU, from 29th August to 31st
August 2016. The event was
organised by the Corporate Relationship Cell of the School.
Day one of the session began with a warm welcome of Mr.
Pradeep Sharma,
Assistant General Manager, CSA, SBI.
Mr. Sharma began the session by a brief description of the meaning and need for entrepreneurship. He explained the present status
of employment rate and how entrepreneurship leads to the development of individual, society and hence, country. Also, he highlighted the factors
shaping entrepreneurial purposes, barriers and entrepreneurial competencies. Later, there was a detailed discussion on
creativity.
On the following day, the major focus was on the need of communication, importance of motivation, opportunity
with risk taking and goal setting and time management.
The last
day saw the major focus
on banking basics,
business plans and team building. Alongwith, the bankers also introduced some loan
schemes offered by the government
to help young entrepreneurs.
Great workshop.Especially the videos they shared were really informative, motivational and inspiring.
